And let’s not forget this groom full of wedding energy.The Bride says “Brian surprised me with an engagement proposal on September 12, 2011 during a weekend getaway to Shelter Island, NY. After 5 years of dating, we knew that we didn’t want a long engagement before making things official – so we set the date in April 2012. Our plan was to coordinate a small wedding celebration utilizing the local establishments in our neighborhood which held a special meaning for us. We’ve always loved the New Leaf Restaurant, which has been the site of several birthday and dating anniversary celebrations over the years, so it was an easy decision to hold our reception there! We also knew that we wanted to have a traditional church ceremony, and since Brian was once a member of the choir at the Good Shepherd, it was an ideal location for us”.
